I'm OK, You're OK

I'm finding myself again through copious amounts of reading and cryptic crosswords. Currently, I'm halfway through Foucault's Pendulum*, and my favorite free online cryptic is The Herald's, though the one in the Mirror is a nice ego boost, since it's stupendously easy.

*Wow, check out those reviews. Maybe this makes me some sort of "intelligentsia-wannabe," but ... people think this is a difficult read? I suppose it's because I've been force-feeding myself nothing but Proust on the toilet for months. Eco's plot races along like a Stephen King novel compared with In Search of Lost Time; I feel like I'm on a vacation.

Mate, I know things aren't going that flash right now but seriously, force feeding yourself Proust on the toilet sounds genuinely unhygienic. Let alone the bizarro-scat-weirdness of ending 'proceedings' by awarding first prize to the girl with the biggest tits.

You're right, that's quite enough obscure Python references for one post. I'll get me coat.

Yours sincerely,
Arthur 'Two Sheds' Jackson

I 'spose I could make a joke about "A Rememberance of Things Passed" but...... let that go.

I had started reading Swann's Way once. I didn't think it was masterful in anyway, but what do I know. Maybe you have to be French to like it.

Right now I am reading Hackers and Painters. I think you'd like it.

Oh, hey... speaking of things that I think that you would like to read: I'm doing Haruki Murakami's "Hard Boiled Wonderland and The End of the World." Like William Gibson crossed with Franz Kafka. You'd like it. After that I'm on "Borribles", but like I said before, if you need it back right away I'll post it to you, no prob. Just give me your address. I can get my own copy. Lemme' know.
